How we make money (the honest version)
Maggie’s Checkup is free to read, and we’d like to keep it that way. Here’s how the lights stay on.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site and in our emails are affiliate links. If you click one and end up buying something, the company may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same either way. As an Amazon Associate, we may also earn from qualifying purchases.
In line with FTC guidelines, we mark affiliate content clearly wherever it appears. If a page or email contains affiliate links, we’ll say so on that page or in that email — not just here.
The rules we follow anyway
- We only point to things we’d tell a friend about. A commission never turns a “no” into a “yes.”
- Our free guides contain no affiliate links at all. The information stands on its own.
- No commission changes what we write. If something’s overpriced or overhyped, we say that — including about companies that would have paid us.
- Maggie never gives first-person product testimonials — she’s a brand character. When we describe results, it’s what published evidence and real women in this community report.
Sponsorships and advertising
If we ever run sponsored content or sell advertising in our newsletter, it will be labeled as such, plainly and every time.
